Humanity First Uganda distributed disaster relief supplies to the affected victims of Kasese floods at Muhokya Camp. Through the Disaster Relief Programme, Humanity First Uganda disaster response team distributed a number of relief items to the worst affected victims during the Kasese floods. The supplies distributed included food ratios, beddings and mosquito nets for over 600 people affected by floods in the Kasese District of western.
Heavy rainfall since late April 2022 caused flooding, mudslides and landslides in the Eastern and Western Regions of Uganda from 27 to 30 April 2022. Over 600 people were affected by floods in different areas including Kitholhu, Bukonzo, Busongora in Kasese district, where over 20 homes were destroyed and 35 damaged with at least 100 households displaced. Humanity First Uganda quickly responded to help the affected people with basic supplies them after the disastrous effects that ruined their lives also killing animals, and destroying plants and properties worth millions of money.
